Lady McAdden receives no government or outside funding and makes no charge for using the services we offer. We rely solely on the generosity of public contributions to carry out our work. 100% of what we raise is spent running the unit. Any support you can give is much appreciated.

HOW YOU CAN HELP US?

Whether as an individual or representing an organisation or company, there are a multitude of ways you are able to help the charity.

These are summarised below and you can contact us to discuss any aspect of the charity and fundraising.

ORGANISE YOUR OWN FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Sponsorship:- Arrange a sponsored event or consider other corporate sponsorship opportunities available, such as sponsoring the clinic for a day or sponsoring entertainment, venues, refreshments, at events. Join in our sponsored walk in October. Run the London Marathon.

Staff giving:- Arrange a dress down day at your place of work, instigate a Give as You Earn scheme or Staff Charity Fund, make us your Charity of the Year.

Collect items:- We can recycle stamps, mobile phones, printer ink cartridges, clothing and bric a brac, scrap gold and silver jewellery and good condition costume jewellery.

Promote:- Display posters about our events and services, advertise your organisation in our newsletter in return for a contribution towards production costs, encourage your friends and colleagues to attend the unit.

Schemes:- Open a Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) Charity Account, donate via the Sharegift Scheme, donate via the Inland Revenues Self Assessment refund scheme. Gift land or buildings. Set up a regular standing order to the unit, sign up to our monthly prize draw.

Goods:- Buy Buster the Bear, unit pens, pencils, erasers, key fobs, car stickers, and lapel badges, through the unit, provide goods or services suitable for raffle prizes for events.

Other ideas:- Become an annual street collector, request one of our collecting boxes for your home, request a talk about the charity and it’s work for your organisation, assist with leaflet drops to promote events, visit our Charity Shops in Tilbury and Southend, become a volunteer in either of these, leave a legacy, and finally and most importantly, for ladies, not forgetting to attend the unit yourself for breast awareness and screening.
